Gender and Development is a course that exposes the learner to gender dynamics in society. Ordinarily, men and women behave in a given manner as determined by the dominant culture of the people. Some of the beliefs and practices cannot be rationally justified, leading to gender discrimination, oppression, marginalization that are anchored on unfounded stereotypes and myths. The aim of this course is to help the learner critically analyze the gender dynamics that operate in society and resultantly enhance gender equity and justice to all men and women.
