ECO-III : Introduction to Economics is one of the core courses offered by the Department of Economics. It is a foundation course for the understanding of economics and is a common course offered to all graduate students admitted in Daystar University. This course will introduce the student to the economists’ way of thinking, basic Microeconomic and Macroeconomic concepts to current economic events. Students will study key principles such as scarcity, opportunity cost, supply and demand, elasticity, market efficiency, consumer/producer behaviour, and market structures. In addition, we will examine key Macroeconomic topics, including measuring of National income. A combination of theory and practice will be stressed.
