Purpose of the course

The course aims at building the student’s foundational knowledge base on issues regarding human rights and it is linked to good governance and accountability. It will enhance the capacity of the student to carry out effective M&E on human rights and advocacy work to ascertain its impact on the target population.


Expected Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course the student will able to :

1.      analyze human concepts and principles of human rights and advocacy

2.      apply M&E skills in assessing transparency and accountability in human rights and advocacy

3.      equip claim holders with participatory monitoring and evaluation approaches and skills;

4.      critique human rights and advocacy strategies and approaches in M&E

5.      understand the critical steps in monitoring and evaluation in advocacy and human rights campaigns
